The Basics
Why should I transfer my LPs to CD?
There are actually a lot of good reasons. A lot of great titles have
never been released on CD, making it difficult or impossible to
find replacements. Records are easily damaged and wear over
time. "Advancing" technology makes it harder and harder to
purchase affordable quality turntables. And let's not forget, you
can't listen to an LP in your car.
Why should I use your services and not someone else's?
Quite simply, our transfers sound better. While other services will
just run a recording through a click/pop filter that removes music
along with the pops, we process your records using a special
process that removes the maximum amount of unwanted noise
without losing any music.
Can you really make my records sound better?
The short answer is "yes!" We can remove crackle, hiss, pops,
and leave you with a much cleaner sounding recording.  Listen to
the results here! Though please bear in mind that if your records
look like your kids used them alternately as frisbees and cutting
boards, there may not be much we can do.
How long will it take to complete my order?
Usually 1-2 weeks, depending on our workload. We also offer
Expedited Service, which guarantees your order will be
completed and shipped within 2 days for an additional cost of
$10.00 per album. No additional discounts apply; please allow an
additional day per five albums for orders over 10 LPs.

The Basics
Can you transfer cassettes, 45s, 78s, or reel to reel tapes?
We accept cassette tapes, LPs, 45s, and Minidiscs. We do not
currently accept reel to reel tapes or 78s.
Do I get my records back with my CDs?
Yes.
Are the songs from my records separated into tracks on
my new CDs?

Yes. Each song on the album is a seperate track on the CD.
While other services charge extra for doing this, it is a
free
service at Ferris Mastering.
Do you offer bulk discounts? I got a whole mess of records.
For orders of over 10 LPs we will offer you an incentive for you to
use our services. In other words...you'll save money.
Can I record my album to tape and send it to you?
No. The processes we use for removing unwanted noise from
tapes and vinyl albums are quite different.
Shipping
Is shipping my records in the mail really safe?
Yes. Click here for some great tips on how to safely ship us your
order. We recommend a combination of a sturdy box, packing
materials, and postal services such as insurance and tracking.
How do you ship my order back to me?
All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days from the
completion of your order).
If I ship my order via UPS or FedEx, will my order be ready
quicker?

No. We process orders in the order we receive them in, unless
you select Expedited Service. Expedited Service guarantees your
order will be completed and shipped within 2 days for an
additional cost of $10.00 per album. No additional discounts
apply; please allow an additional day per five albums for orders
over 10 LPs.
